On-shore Applications Are No Longer Available
The newest Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia number 19 of 2023 was issued on 07 June 2023. This regulation revokes the previous Regulation Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number 34 of 2021, which in one of the articles stated “Foreigners holding residence permits who are in Indonesian territory and have not been able to return to their country of origin may be granted a new residence permit after obtaining a visa. The visa referred to is a visit visa.”
As Regulation Number 34 has been revoked, it means on-shore visa applications (B211, C312, C313, C314, C317) are no longer available, as well as on-shore EPO. This means, after the EPO process the applicant has to leave Indonesia within 7 days. Also, visa applicants can only activate their visa by arriving internationally from overseas into Indonesia.
